The cost of student permits for the Middlehaven on street parking bays is being reduced from £150 to £100 for a term time permit valid September to June.

Middlehaven Business Permits fees are decreasing by £192 to £480 for an annual permit.

Councillor Charlie Rooney, Executive Member for Transport at Middlesbrough Council, said: “The Council is introducing this lower scale of charges in recognition of the current economic climate and to support the Council's regeneration objectives for the Middlehaven area.

“There is currently spare capacity in this area within easy walking distance of the town centre.”

Parking charges in the town centre car parks are not affected by these changes.
